CCAN'S FUNDING PROJECTS !

2007

CCAN provided funnding for the 2007 Carcinoid /NET National Conference along with providing

500 CD ROMS of The CCAN LI NY 2006 Medical Conference to give to each attendee.

 CCAN provided a $10,000.00 donation to the newly form

North American NeuroEndocrine Tumor Society

CCAN made a donation to The Feinstein Insitute at

LIJ and North Shore Hospital Manhasset NY for medical research of a new Pet Scan.

CCAN has provided Information and giveways at booths to bring awareness to

The ASCO and DDW Annual Meetings this year.

We hosted regional conferences for patients, caregivers and medical professional

 in Pasadena CA and at The University of MI.

We will hold CCAN's Fourth Annual Medical Conference at the Huntington Hilton Hotel on November 17,2007. Speaker will include Dr Eugene Woltering. Dr Lowell Anthony, Dr Thomas O'Dorisio,Dr Italo Zanzi and DR Hal Gerstein. The first Live Webinar was held December 15,2007

Again this year CCAN has provided funding to several support groups around the country.

2006

CCAN gave funding for the 2006 Carcinoid/ Net National Conference in Portland ,OR.

Funding raised were used for awareness projects across the country .

Including supporting several support groups in the US.

CCAN'S Third Annual Medical Conference November 10,2007. Guest Speakers included Dr Richard Warner, Dr Eugene Woltering, Dr Arron Vinik, Dr Stanley Goldsmith, and Dr Hal Gerstien. Over 125 patients and Caregiver were in attendance as well as 15 medical professionals.

2005

The Hurricane Katrina LSU replacement Fundraiser

CCAN mailed our pledge of $5,0000.

With the help of the Carcinoid /Net Community

Additional checks totaling $15,872.00 were sent.

A big Thank you to all for your donatations. With these funds and the support of this community has made it possible for these Dr's to continue their work.

2004

CCAN donated $3,000 to the 11c5HTP Pet Scan Project.

With the help of the Carcinoid / Net Community we raised

additional $13.000.

The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation Then Matched the funds to bring the first 11c5HTP Pet Scan to the United States. Clincal trails are now in Progress @ NY Prebyterian Hospital in NYC .

2003

In Sept 2003 Maryann & Robert Wahmann The co/chairs of the LI NY Carcinoid Cancer Support Group held a golf outing in Douglaston NY to raise funds for The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. $13,000 was raised at the event for research and awareness projects of Carcinoid Cancer.
